Amanda White
Hello!
My name is Amanda White. I enjoy museums, hiking, cruising through the streets of Fort Collins, and exploring new restaurants and shops. I very much enjoy traveling and had the chance to visit Japan 5 times while my parents were stationed overseas. It was an amazing experience. I would love to travel to Greece, Italy, and Spain to visit the largest aquarium in the world. I would also like to road trip across the good ole United States of America. I believe it is important to know your roots, but always bloom where you are planted.
My passions are human equality, food, and fun. I like to claim that I would try anything once, but that isn’t always the case. My dad has two phrases of advice that I always follow. Number one; never eat anything bigger than your head, and most importantly, always remember, life is tough… but it is tougher when you are stupid. I grew up in a military family. My dad flew FA-18’s for the United States Navy and continues to serve today. It can be hard to keep track of where my parents are considering they continue to move about every 2 years. But going “home” for the holidays is always a treat. My mom is a wonderful, caring, and supportive role model and Navy wife. I also have one younger sister who attends CSU. We enjoy shopping in Old Town Fort Collins and enjoying the outdoors together.
I am a Colorado State University alumnus in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Psychology. I love learning! I graduated in December 2011. I was extremely involved at Colorado State University being a part of Alpha Kappa Psi, a co-ed business fraternity and being the student coordinator and member of Business Diversity and Leadership Alliance. I also worked in the College of Business for the Undergraduate Programs Office and had the wonderful opportunity of playing intramural sports with my friends. However, interning and working with GrowSecure was one of my best experiences. People truly undervalue the idea of treating their employees with respect and trusting their decisions.
This year I would like to explore and uncover more of Fort Collins’ and Loveland’s hidden treasures. So far I have enjoyed the bike-in movies at the New Belgium brewery parking lot, tubing down the Poudre River, eating at the Chocolate café, and boating with the GrowSecure staff. I look forward to more adventures. If you have any ideas, let me know!
